Gen Art Styles 2007 presented by Eos Airlines. HUGE SUCCESS!

On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 Gen Art & Eos Airlines presented the 9th Annual STYLES 2007 RUNWAY COMPETITION & AWARDS SHOW with Master of Ceremonies Robert Verdi . Over 1600 press, celebrities and members of the fashion industry arrived at New York's historic Hammerstein Ballroom to watch fashion's future on the runway in one of the most-talked about fashion events of the year.

Styles began with a world-wide call for designers. This year Gen Art received over 800 designer submissions from 31 countries & 35 States. 30 fortunate finalists were chosen by a Selection Committee of 25 fashion editors, buyers and stylists including representatives from Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Womens Wear Daily, Vanity Fair, Barneys, Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue and more. These finalists competed live before guests and a Fashion Judging Panel for $35,000 in Awards.

Styles featured two looks each from 25 designers seeking an Eos Airlines Design Vision Award in one of five categories: Womens Ready-to-Wear, Eveningwear and Avant-Garde, Menswear and Accessories. Five finalists competed for the $10,000 Perrier Bubbling Under Award which recognized the designer who best expressed a theme using multi-media, storyboards or three dimensional pieces. This year's theme was "Pop."

A judging panel made up fashion industry notables reviewed and scored the looks as they came down the runway and awarded a winner in each category. The esteemed 2007 Fashion Judging Panel was made up of Supermodel Liya Kebede; designer Cynthia Rowley; designer John Bartlett; Bill Blass' Michael Vollbracht; IMG's Fern Mallis; Elle's Style Director Isabel Dupre; designer Reem Acra; Jeffrey New York's Jeffrey Kalinsky; and designer Trina Turk.
