Upon arriving at Drive-In Studios on Wednesday night, we were welcomed by an unexpected delight: models in underwear bouncing around to Phoenix's music for a pre-show photo shoot. This eye-catching scene was orchestrated by Sophomore, one of the four New Garde honorees. Chrissie Miller's ingenious strategy combined underwear, photography, and voyeurism, keeping everyone entranced throughout the evening. When we finally managed to look away, there was still plenty more to capture our attention.
The collections from GAR—DE, Nomia, and WesFeld were as breathtaking as the pantsless models. Nomia exuded a sexy New York vibe, GAR—DE brought a fierce winter warrior aesthetic, and WesFeld dazzled with a sexy couture mermaid feel. The theme of the night was undeniably sexy. If you missed it—or just want to relive the night link by link—here’s a quick recap of the highlights.
We rubbed shoulders with Molly Sims in her stunning swimsuit model glory, Jessica Stam, Whitney Port and Roxy Olin from The City, Project Runway's Kenley Collins and Stella Zotis, and several charming, scruffy bartenders.
While the women in stilettos showed immense bravery (and we adored Whitney Port's pair), it was the guests in weathered boots and statement hats who truly caught our eye, especially given the blizzard outside. Standout examples included WesFeld designer Wesley’s studded boots and the impeccable ensemble of one particularly stylish attendee. Apologies for the spotlight, but your outfit was simply too perfect not to mention!
