Life, layers and landscapes...

"The works in the show are small abstract paintings. I showed in Texas a couple years ago and I drove there—from California to Texas. The paintings in the show are my memories of these landscapes I saw."

More than 70 emerging artists participated in Gen Art's 15th Anniversary "I Heart Gen Art Benefit" at the sprawling 25,000 sq ft 7W venue on June 24th. The artists, many alumni of Gen Art's visual arts program donated their works to Gen Art to sell off and utilize the proceeds to raise funds for the organization. Over half of the pieces sold at the event and subsequent on-line auction including a piece by graffiti artist Claw Money which was purchased by Gen Art alumni design wiz Zac Posen.
